Rep. Pitts on Budget Deal Keeping the Government Open

Republican Congressman Joe Pitts (R-16th) released the following statement late Friday after a budget deal to keep the government open was struck.
"While I'm disappointed that this was so difficult, I am glad that the House and Senate have reached an agreement to keep the government open. Our troops will be funded for the rest of the year, and there will not be a lapse in important services. We have made real cuts to the federal budget, but we will have to work harder still to get our budget under control."
