The reason we are facing a budget shutdown today is because the cowardly Democrats who controlled both chambers of Congress in 2010 refused to adopt a federal budget because they were afraid of the consequences of taking the U.S. deeper into debt. They lost the House and dropped six Senate seats anyway in November.
