Stop 422 Tolls website launches
The site is also critical of Democratic state Rep. Paul Drucker, who is the only Pennsylvania lawmaker so far to advocate tolling one of the busiest highways in the state.
Drucker is a freshman House member who represents the 157th District. Route 422 travels through some of the communities in the district.
The website includes an online petition asking visitors to oppose the tolling of Route 422.
From the home page:
Maybe State Rep. Paul Drucker believes we don't already pay enough taxes. Maybe State Rep. Paul Drucker believes traffic on Route 422 isn't bad enough already, and could use a few toll booths to slow things down a bit more. Maybe State Rep. Paul Drucker believes people who use Route 422 won’t mind paying for the privilege of driving on that road.

Tony...
Your assertion that Paul is the only law maker in the state to consider tolling is inaccurate. In fact, Sen. Rafferty is also in favor of considering tolling as but one of several options. To say that Paul is "advocating" for tolling is stretching things a bit. It is more accurate to say that Paul, like Sen. Rafferty and the Chester County Economic Development Council, believe that tolling is one of several viable options.
The problem with the Kampf campaign is that it throws the word toll around as a pejorative - without offering any alternative solutions.
I'm not sure where Mr. Peterson is getting his information, but I spoke directly with Sen. Rafferty about Route 422 tolls and the senator has not take a position on the matter pending completion of a feasibility study. It appears only Rep. Paul Drucker is in favor of tolling Route 422.
