Pennsylvania general fund revenues for the current fiscal year (July 2011-June 2012) are running $497.2 million, or 3.5 percent, below state estimates.

Tony Phyrillas: Tony Phyrillas is the editor and content manager of The Mercury, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper in Pottstown, Pa.
