Gov. Corbett achieves much of first-year agenda

Aided by a more conservative state Legislature, Pennsylvania's new Republican governor has accomplished much in his first 6 months in office, including signing a state budget on time, something Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell did not do in 8 years.

With the budget out of the way, look for a busy fall when the Legislature comes back from its summer vacation.
