Lame-duck Jim Matthews, who betrayed the GOP four years ago by turning over control of county government to Democrat Joe Hoeffel, is cleaning out his desk.

Hoeffel is cleaning out his desk too. Both of them relegated to a humiliating withdrawal from the race. Guess Bruce Castor was right all along, huh?
