Reid apologizes for 'Negro' remark

Is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a racist? Sure sounds like it. But he is a Democrat ... and a liberal. So he gets a free pass.

Mark Halperin and John Heilemann reported this, not exactly conservative standard bearers. Also, Reid apologized to these people:

Rev. Al Sharpton; NAACP Chairman Julian Bond and Leadership Conference on Civil Rights president and chief executive officer Wade Henderson, as well as veteran political operative Donna Brazile. Reid also spoke with Reps. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., and Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., both African-Americans.

I fail to see how he's 'getting a free pass.'
