Obama/Biden Earmark Makeover

Another case where Sen. Barack Obama's rhetoric doesn't match reality. He talks about changing Washington, but the junior Senator from Illinois had no qualms about seeking pork projects for his home state during his brief time in the Senate. As for Biden, he knows how to play the game in Washington.

Anybody want to guess which state has the highest per capita pork? That would be Sarah Palin's Alaska, which brought in over 8 times the pork per capita that Illinois had under Obama. Talk about rhetoric not matching actions, it's once agaion Sarah Palin in the lead!

It's pretty easy to be the "per capita" pork leader when you have so few people in Alaska. The pork happens to be the work of Sen. Ted Stevens, who is facing federal corruption charges. Stevens gives the GOP a bad name, just like Congressman John Murtha, the King of Pork, gives Pennsylvania a bad name.

Did I mention that Sen. John McCain asked for $0.00 in pork spending for his home state of Arizona?

Okay, Tony, what about her earmarks as the mayor of Wassilla ($27m)? How does that stack up against the earmarks for Pottstown?

She picked one of her biggest weaknesses (earmarks) and attacked her opponent on it. Classic Karl Rove politics.
