Tony Phyrillas is the editor and content manager of The Mercury, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper in Pottstown, Pa. Phyrillas has won national and state awards for political commentary, including first place for column writing in 2010 by the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors. Phyrillas has been featured on National Public Radio and The New York Times and is a frequent commentator on radio and television programs. He co-hosted 'Talking Politics with Tony Phyrillas & Mike Pincus' on WPAZ 1370 AM from 2008 to 2009.

The tree hugger cartoon in my mind says alot about why were so dependent on foreign oil. The enviormentalist won't let us do anything.This is one area I blame the democrats. They say drilling won't help,but to me that doesn't make sense based on the laws of supply and demand.60 years ago Hitler used coal not oil to feul his war machine.Where's that technology today? Did you know President Clinton vetoed a bill to drill for oil in anwar? Jimmy Carter set that area aside for drilling.CARTER. Anyway I thought the oil companies do a much cleaner job today when it comes to the drilling. Perhaps not?
